Cookie & Tracking Technology Policy
At IOVODN Pictures, founded by Mike Ndovoi, we treat privacy and digital stewardship with the same precision and elegance as our architectural web design and hotel cinematography. This document discloses how and why we utilize cookies, local storage mechanisms, and measurement technologies across our digital monographs.
Manage Your Tracking Preferences
You can inspect, customize, or withdraw your consent at any time without impacting your ability to browse our photography portfolios and case monographs.
1. What Are Cookies and Digital Identifiers?
Cookies are compact data files placed on your computer, smartphone, or tablet when you visit websites. They enable the web application to recall your actions and preferences (such as your privacy settings, navigation session, and display configurations) over a duration of time.
In addition to HTTP cookies, we may utilize localStorage (a modern browser storage mechanism that
persists securely on your device) and conversion measurement tags (such as Google Tag Manager and Meta Pixel)
which execute only in strict adherence to your affirmative consent.
2. Legal Basis for Processing Under Kenyan Law
Under Section 25, 29, and 32 of the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, and regulations issued by the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC):
- Strictly Necessary Cookies: Processed on the basis of legitimate technical interest and contractual necessity to deliver an operational, secure website and remember your legal consent choices.
- Analytics, Advertising & Marketing Cookies: Processed strictly on the basis of your freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous affirmative consent. We do not load non-essential measurement tags or social pixels until you explicitly choose to accept them.

4. Google Consent Mode v2 Implementation
Our website implements Google Consent Mode v2. By default, before you interact with our consent
banner, all storage permissions (analytics_storage, ad_storage,
ad_user_data, and ad_personalization) are configured to 'denied'.
Only when you select "Accept All" or enable individual categories in Cookie Settings are these signals updated
to 'granted'. If you reject non-essential cookies, Google tags respect your refusal and operate
in a restricted, non-storage state.
5. Meta (Facebook) Pixel & Social Measurement
We do not inject or execute Meta Pixel scripts (connect.facebook.net/en_US/fbevents.js) until you
have actively granted permission for Marketing & Social Media tracking.
If granted, Meta Pixel allows us to understand whether hospitality leaders who encounter our editorial
showcases on Instagram or Facebook choose to initiate studio commissions. If you revoke this permission,
Meta Pixel is immediately disabled and our script revokes consent via fbq('consent', 'revoke').
6. How to Manage and Withdraw Your Consent
You can alter or withdraw your consent at any time via:
- Clicking the Cookie Settings link permanently present in the footer of every page on this website.
- Using the interactive button located at the top of this policy document.
- Adjusting your browser settings to clear cookies and localStorage data.
7. Browser-Level Cookie Management
You can configure your browser to reject all cookies or notify you when a cookie is placed:
- Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Third-party cookies
- Apple Safari: Settings > Safari > Advanced > Block All Cookies
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Enhanced Tracking Protection
- Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies
